SBU signs MoU with 10 Iraqi universities

Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) signed MoU with 10 Iraqi universities. The MoU were signed by Prof. Seyed Mahmoudreza Aghamiri, President of SBU, and the presidents of Iraqi universities on the sidelines of the international scientific event of Iran and Iraq.
The MOU were signed between SBU and the Iraqi universities including Al-Zahraa University for Women, University of Baghdad, Al-Isra University, Al-Farahidi University, Al-Iraqia University, University of Babylon, University of Misan, Al-Ain University, University of Technology and University of Diyala.
The most important areas agreed upon in the foregoing MoU include: Exchanging professors and researchers, holding meetings, seminars, scientific meetings, specialized webinars, exchanging scientific and educational articles, developing joint research programs and projects, admitting students, joint cooperation for future investments, exchanging publications, financial exploitation of the results of research projects, scientific collaborations between national and international centers affiliated to both universities.
It should be noted that the scientific week of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq was hosted by Ferdowsi University of Mashhad from October 7 to 12 with the participation of more than 60 universities from Iran and Iraq. This event was held with the follow-up of the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iraq and the coordination of the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The main topics of this scientific event, which was held with the presence of Prof. Seyed Mahmoudreza Aghamiri, and Dr. Jamileh Alamolhoda, Dean of the Institute for Science and Technology Studies, involved academic interactions and communication, international cultural exchanges, and the development of diplomacy between the two countries.
Solving the common problem of Iran and Iraq regarding "water" and "haze" by the scientific community of these two countries and paying attention to renewable energy were the most important issues raised in the scientific week event of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq.
